Update (October 13, 2025, 3:05p.m.): O’Brien has confirmed on social media that he is in Manila shooting for his travel series, Conan O’Brien Must Go.
Comedy fans, be on the lookout: Conan O’Brien is walking the streets of Bonifacio Global City.
On October 13, Filipino fans spotted the iconic comedian and television host, along with comedy writer Jose Arroyo and producers Mike Sweeney and Aaron Bleyaert.
As confirmed by a recent post on the comedian’s Instagram page, O’Brien and company are in the Philippines filming new scenes for the upcoming season of his Emmy-winning HBO Max travel series, Conan O’Brien Must Go. The show follows O’Brien as he journeys to various countries, getting involved in a plethora of hijinks: including sparring with a Muay Thai fighter in Thailand, rowing a boat with Javier Bardem in Madrid, and attempting to break the world record for the largest Haka alongside Taika Waititi in New Zealand. The travelogue was renewed for a third season earlier this year.
O’Brien has been a comedy staple for more than three decades, having first started in the industry as a writer on The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live. He made his onscreen debut in 1993 on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, after being chosen to take on the role for longtime host David Letterman. Since stepping away from late night TV in 2021, O’Brien has carved another niche in comedy with his podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. Most recently, he returned to the big screen in the comedy-drama If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, starring Rose Byrne, which premiered in U.S. theaters on October 10.
