In 2025, Abi Marquez, food vlogger and the internet’s reigning “Lumpia Queen,” met Gordon Ramsay on his trip to the Philippines. And now, it looks like Marquez has made it into his latest docuseries.
Over the course of six episodes, Being Gordon Ramsay follows Ramsay as the Michelin-starred chef opens four restaurants and a culinary academy at the 22 Bishopsgate skyscraper in London.
The docuseries also offers a glimpse into Ramsay’s personal life beyond the kitchen. The chef gets candid about his rough upbringing, his beginnings in the culinary world, and his relationship with his wife Tana and their six children.
In the fourth episode, Ramsay is seen making his way to the Philippines to open the Manila outpost of the Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill. “The Philippines has been a huge market for us,” he said in a voiceover. “Filipino cuisine alone in general is… oof! It’s bubbling like no tomorrow.”
The camera then cuts to Ramsay interacting with influencers and filming videos with them. One of the content creators featured in the episode was Marquez, who can be seen serving him a platter of beef Wellington lumpia she had cooked for him.
“This is the biggest day of my life,” Marquez said in an interview included in the episode. “Just this Saturday, he commented on one of my videos, and immediately, all the press, the media picked it up.”
All episodes of Being Gordon Ramsay are currently available on Netflix.
