For those hoping to catch BTS live onstage but can’t make it to a tour stop, here’s the next best thing: two of their tours to be screened live from cinemas across the Philippines.
Officially titled BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ Live Viewing, the tour films are set to screen in select cinemas nationwide. On April 11 at 5:45 pm Philippine Time, the boy group’s tour in Goyang will be livestreamed, followed by encore screenings on April 12. The tour stop in Tokyo will be livestreamed on April 18 at 1:45 pm Philippine Time, with encore screenings later the same day.
The tour films feature a 360-degree view of the stage as BTS performs tracks from their fifth full-length album, Arirang. “The show delivers an immersive experience that places audiences at the very center of the performance,” reads the tour’s official announcement. Screenings will take place in cinemas across the world, including countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and more.
The two BTS film experiences follow a string of releases from the group, including their album Arirang, the Netflix docufilm BTS: THE RETURN, and their performance BTS the Comeback Live | Arirang, which streamed live on Netflix on March 21.
Erratum: The previous version of this article stated that screenings were only available at SM Cinema and Ayala Cinema locations. Multiple cinema chains nationwide will screen both tour films.
