“To see you guys in front of my eyes, it feels like a dream,” Jennie told the crowd as she took the stage at Lollapalooza on Sunday, August 2 (PHST).
For Jennie, this year marks her first time headlining Lollapalooza as a solo artist. The performance was also the third time she had played live at the festival, following appearances with BLACKPINK in 2019 and 2023. As thousands gathered at the Bud Light Stage, the crowd sang along from the opening song while Blinks tuned in through livestreams and watch parties around the world.
As flames burned through the red curtains onstage, Jennie opened with “Filter” before getting straight into “Damn Right” and “Mantra.” The early stretch of the set immediately established the night’s energy, with a strong live band backing Jennie’s magnetic stage presence while her dancers broke into a freestyle cypher. She later transitioned with more cuts from her debut album, Ruby, performing “start a war,” followed by “Handlebars,” which became one of the night’s biggest singalongs.

Among them, “Sweet Tooth” paired jersey club and 2-step production with one of Jennie’s sweetest, most colorful hooks to date, while “Lock It Down” has baile funk-inspired rhythms and driving synths.
Before leaving the stage, Jennie closed with “Like Jennie,” thanking fans for staying with her throughout the hour-long performance.
Lollapalooza became another major milestone in Jennie’s solo career following her headlining set at Coachella back in April 2025. With material that showcases an expanding musical range from her BLACKPINK days to her smash solo debut album, the performance showed how comfortably she’s become commanding these big festival stages on her own.
