Manny Jacinto — thirst trap extraordinaire — is out to break the internet once again. The star of The Good Place, The Acolyte, and Freakier Friday has decided to add “audio erotica actor” to his growing resume. Jacinto is now the narrator of Hyperdrive, a three-episode sci-fi romance thriller created by Quinn, an audio erotica app that specializes in “immersive erotic stories from your favorite voices on the internet” (oo-la-la!).
In Hyperdrive, Jacinto plays Kai, a memory technician in a future where memories are currency. Kai begins to notice gaps in his own memory, complete with a forgotten romance that he can’t fully explain. “Kai’s love interest is Rei, played by you, the listener,” Jacinto explains in a sultry promo video. “There are moments when Kai and Rei have intense intimacy, but you start to wonder whether this is genuine or built on manipulated memory.”
The first two episodes of Hyperdrive are now available on Quinn. The third and final episode arrives on October 24.
The app, since its founding in 2021, has quickly built a reputation for taking some of the hottest actors of Hollywood and turning them into our favorite audio erotica darlings. Past Quinn heartthrobs include Fleabag’s Andrew Scott playing a royal bodyguard, The Summer I Turned Pretty’s Christopher Briney as a small-town boy in love with his brother’s ex, and The Mortal Instruments’ Jamie Campbell Bower as a steamy rock star.
