The finale of HBO’s Industry Season 4 is fast approaching, and fans aren’t ready to let go of the show just yet. Thankfully, it’s been renewed for a fifth and final season.
“For some time now, we have been thinking about how best to end the show on an unparalleled high,” said show creators and writers Konrad Kay and Mickey Down, former investment bankers, in a statement following the renewal announcement. “Unlike some of our characters, we know when to leave a party.”
Industry officially announced its renewal on Instagram with a picture of lines of… ahem, cornstarch… over a framed photo of Yasmin (Marisa Abela) and Henry (Kit Harington) on their wedding day.
Fans were already hoping that Industry would be renewed for another season, with speculations fueled after the show’s music supervisor, Ollie White, told GQ that he wanted to add Depeche Mode to the soundtrack “next season.”
In their statement, Kay and Down also said, “This March marks a decade since we first began to conceive of the world of Industry,” and thanked their collaborators at HBO, the BBC, and Cardiff-based production company Bad Wolf Studios for their “unwavering faith and vision” for the show.
