Hit financial thriller Industry has cast Dianna Agron for its fifth and final season, joining Zosia Mamet as executives of a wellness tech company.

HBO loves to revive an icon to play a crazy, rich person in every new season of Industry. In Season 3, the show introduced us to the mopey, troubled aristocrat Henry Muck, played by a post-Game of Thrones Kit Harington. Max Minghella, known for The Social Network and The Handmaid’s Tale, also joined Industry in the fourth season to play a shady but enigmatic CFO. We can expect Agron and Mamet’s roles as girlbosses Skip Binsky and Carmen Dame to be just as memorable as Quinn Fabray in Glee and Shoshanna Shapiro in Girls, respectively.

Other notable newcomers include Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Sam Riley (Control, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), and Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey, Silo).

The new characters also hint at what Season 5 could be about. Elements from past seasons have mirrored real-life events, such as Tender’s corporate fraud plot mirroring the Wirecard scandal (which reached the Philippines) and Yasmin Kara-Hanani’s (Marisa Abela) unfortunate “Ghislaine Maxwell arc” in Season 4.

With Agron and Mamet playing executives of a wellness tech company, Industry might dive deeper into the varying (or twisted) notions of female empowerment that Season 4 touched on. There’s also a lot of material to work with when it comes to satirizing the wellness industry, from Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company to the controversy-riddled lifestyle brand, Goop. Gwyneth Paltrow should watch her back, because Agron definitely has it in her to play a blonde, out-of-touch health nut.

Industry Season 5 is currently in production in the U.K. HBO and the BBC have not yet announced a release date for the show.

HBO announced in February 2026 that Industry was renewed for a fifth and final season, though no release date has been given.

Industry follows a group of young graduates who join the fictional investment bank Pierpoint & Co., as they progress through the company ranks and navigate London’s cutthroat banking sector. Over four seasons, the show’s scope has also expanded into politics and other industries. At the center of its story is the mercurial frenemy dynamic between Harper Stern (Myha’la) and Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela), who come from different backgrounds and boast different skills but are equally ambitious.

Industry has seen a variety of directors lead each episode, including Tinge Krishnan, Ed Lilly, Mary Nighy, Birgitte Stærmose, Isabella Eklöf, Caleb Femi, Zoé Wittock, Michelle Savill, and Luke Snelling. Girls creator and Zosia Mamet’s co-star, Lena Dunham, directed the pilot episode that aired in December 2020. Writers Mickey Down and Conrad Kay, who are former investment bankers, have also co-directed some episodes.

Industry is available to stream on HBO Max and BBC iPlayer. The show also airs on BBC One.
