REYN4, the first drag queen supergroup to stem from Drag Race Philippines, stepped into the spotlight in the latest episode of Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale.
The group, formed under World of Wonder’s WOW Records, is comprised of Precious Paula Nicole (Drag Race Philippines Season 1 winner), Captivating Katkat (Season 2 winner), Maxie Andreison (Season 3 winner), and Marina Summers (Season 1 runner-up and top five finalist on RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. The World).
Although REYN4 debuted earlier this August, the group made its first appearance on the most recent episode of Slaysian Royale, the Filipino franchise’s version of an All-Stars season. That same episode saw REYN4 drop their new single, “High Time,” which the show’s contestants had to rework and perform for the week’s Maxi Challenge.
“REYN4 is the first ever, all-Filipina drag supergroup that is launched into global superstardom by World of Wonder,” said Marina Summers on the episode, “to represent not only Philippine drag excellence but also Asian excellence.”
“[REYN4] proves that nothing is impossible,” added Precious Paula Nicole. “Even talented drag queens can be recording artists and be the superstars that we already are.”
The supergroup stayed on for the first half of the episode to help coach the contestants for their Maxi Challenge. Marina Summers also joined the episode as a guest judge, alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 winner Nymphia Wind, for the runway portion.
