Single’s Inferno follows many of the classic beats of all the reality dating shows that came before it. A group of hot, young singles is sequestered to a deserted island called Inferno (hence, the show name), where they must do whatever they can to find a love interest and make it to Paradise (which is pretty much a five-star resort where the couple can have some proper alone time).
Single’s Inferno has steadily become one of Netflix’s most popular shows, with its first season making it to the streaming platform’s Top 10 Shows global chart back in 2022. This latest season of Single’s Inferno boasts 13 contestants, all of whom are more than ready to find love amongst their gaggle of models, athletes, and artists. But for those who need help keeping track of who’s who, we’ve put together a list of all the single contenders who first arrived on the island.
The first four episodes of Single’s Inferno Season 5 are currently streaming on Netflix.
Youn Hyun-jae
Hyun-jae’s one of the sportier singles on the island, having already shown off his athleticism with his kundo skills. He’s looking for a girl with a “pure and innocent look” (whatever that means), and he’ll make sure to “pursue her until the end.”
Song Seung-il
A little more on the competitive side, Seung-il admitted that he doesn’t fall for people easily. “I hate losing,” he said in Korean during his intro, “and when I do, I can’t even sleep at night.”
Park Hee-sun
Hee-sun’s a former cheerleader, a dancing enthusiast, and a self-proclaimed attention-seeker. “I get asked out constantly,” she said. “When I go out on the street, guys come up to me every three steps I take.”
Shin Hyeon-woo
Confident and beefed up, Hyeon-woo walked onto the island pretty sure that he’d find someone to leave with. His words: “I never fall behind when it comes to physique or aura.”
Kim Go-eun
“I may look cold on the outside,” said Go-eun in her intro, “but once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m cute and warm-hearted.” Go-eun’s looking for someone to “steal her heart” on the island so that she can put an end to her single life. You know what? Amen.
Kim Jae-jin
Jae-jin contains multitudes. He confessed to having been called both mature and immature by his friends, which doesn’t necessarily match his outward physique (which is, by the way, stunning). “I have a personality you’d never expect from my cold looks, a surprising charm,” he said.
Ham Ye-jin
As one of the only contestants not to focus on her looks during her intro, Ye-jin made it a point to stress how quirky and honest she can be. She’s also never properly flirted with anyone because “everything just works out” for her.
Woo Sung-min
“I don’t usually enjoy intense romance,” said Sung-min, which begs the question of why he’s on the show. But it looks like Sung-min’s on the island for a real connection, and he’s hoping to meet someone who matches his vibe.
Kim Min-gee
A famous track star outside of the island, Min-gee’s bringing that athletic competitiveness to her pursuit of love. “I [will] keep pursuing that person and keep trying until they open up,” said Min-gee, “I keep knocking and knocking until they open up.”
Lim Su-been
Surprise! More contestants! Episode 2 brought in a few more arrivals onto the island, starting with Lim Su-been. He’s mature, full of golden retriever energy, and he’s “been told” that he looks sexy when I work out (and I mean, he does).
Lee Sung-hun
Currently based in New York, Sung-hun switches fluently between Korean and English. He’s looking for someone who’s “cat-like,” but also “very genuine and kind” (what is this criteria?).
Lee Joo-young
If I could have the level of confidence Joo-young has going into this competition, I’d be unstoppable. “I’ve been popular since the day I was born,” she said, before revealing that she was nicknamed her school’s “goddess” as a teenager.
Choi Mina-sue
Mina-sue is someone who tends to prioritize herself in a relationship, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. She’s looking for someone to eat chicken feet with and a good cuddler.
