Contractualization

The labor practice, known locally as endo, of hiring workers on short-term contracts that end before regularization, denying them job security and benefits. It remains a major workers’ rights issue in the Philippines, affecting retail, service, and media workers, among others, and a frequent subject of labor reporting.
