Cup of Joe’s breakout single “Multo” is now officially the most-streamed OPM song of all time on Spotify, reaching 512 million streams as of February 19. According to Spotify, the track recently surpassed UDD’s single “Tadhana,” which had just achieved its own milestone a month earlier. “Tadhana” became the first Filipino song to cross the half-billion streaming mark in January 2026, only to be overtaken shortly after by “Multo,” which edged past the synth-pop single by roughly 100,000 streams according to Spotify.

“Tadhana” was released under the album Capacities in 2012. Early on, the track served as the official theme song for the GMA fantasy series Illumina in 2010. It gained further cultural significance when it was used as the theme song for the 2014 romantic comedy That Thing Called Tadhana, starring Angelica Panganiban and JM de Guzman. Over the years, covers of the song from Regine Velasquez to KZ Tandingan have kept it in circulation, reinforcing its place as one of the most enduring OPM tracks more than a decade after its release.

“Multo,” meanwhile, arrived in September 2024, months ahead of Cup of Joe’s debut album Silakbo in January 2025. The song quickly won over listeners with its strong pop appeal and memorable chorus, becoming a defining moment for the band. Its rise in the current streaming era continued when it won Song of the Year at the Filipino Music Awards in October 2025.
