Lisa’s Own Documentary ‘Always Lalisa’ Is Coming to Cinemas This October

BLACKPINK’s Lisa is set to release a documentary about her career in the K-pop world titled Always Lalisa, set for theatrical release worldwide on October 12. The documentary will open in global cinemas and IMAX before it heads to streaming on YouTube Premium later in the year. Exact locations for the film’s showings have yet to be announced.

The film’s synopsis on Always Lalisa’s website details Lisa’s life as a solo artist and how she’s spent a “transformative year away from BLACKPINK,” wherein she spent the year making her debut solo album Alter Ego and filming her acting debut on White Lotus in 2025. “As the group pauses activities, Lisa embarks on the first true chapter of her solo career, confronting the question of who she is beyond BLACKPINK.”

Last July 20, film and television content division Sony Music Vision announced that Lisa will be the subject of the upcoming full-length documentary, which will make its world premiere in the gala program at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival, happening from September 10 to September 20.
