Idol group XG chief producer, Junho Sakai, who works under the name Simon Jakops (or simply JAKOPS), was arrested in Japan on suspicion of drug possession on February 23.

According to a source from the investigation, four suspects, including Sakai, are accused of possessing bags of cocaine at a hotel in Aichi Prefecture. Reports indicate that the Drug and Firearm Investigation Division acted on an anonymous tip that suggested the suspects were using cocaine and searched their hotel room.

Four bags of cocaine and dried cannabis were reportedly seized from the room. Multiple Japanese media outlets reported that the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department arrested Sakai and three others for allegedly violating Japan’s Narcotic Control Act.
