The Filipino-British songwriter turned homesickness, touring life, and uncertainty into a new record packed with collaborators

beabadoobee has seemingly collected the Infinity Stones of alternative music for her latest album, Pylon, which is set to be released on September 18.

Singer-songwriter Hayley Williams appears on “Nothing To Prove,” while Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates is featured on “Powerlines.” The album also includes appearances from nu-metal icon Chino Moreno, Pinegrove lead vocalist Evan Stephens Hall, and Title Fight guitarist Shane Moran as reported on Billboard.

The Filipino-British singer-songwriter announced the album, explaining that the writing process for her fourth record took place “in between tours and on tour.” She shared that she missed home and the people around her, while continuing to learn how to live with the uncertainty of being away.

beabadoobee has also released the album’s lead single, “Sun Has Set.” 

Her latest world tour, The Powerlines Tour, will help promote the new album. Her last visits in the Philippines took place in 2022 for her beatopia tour and 2024 for her This is How Tomorrow Moves tour. Both took place at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
