Ely Buendia is releasing a brand new single, “Ate,” produced by record producer Shadiel Chan, a Baguio-based music producer and label head of Nine Degrees North. Chan has produced for bands like Cup of Joe’s “Multo” and Dilaw’s “Uhaw.” This marks the first collaboration between the producer and the singer.
As he continues to expand his range after nearly three decades of releasing music, Buendia shares that working with Chan offered new insight and inspiration. “Shadiel had a fresh take on everything,” he said in a press statement. “He works fast, which I really like, and has a spot-on instinct. I’m always up for working with new blood. There’s a lot you can learn from them.”
Buendia is releasing a brand new single, “Ate,” on March 26 under Offshore Music Philippines. Throughout 2025, Buendia has been promoting the documentary Eraserheads: Combo on the Run and his solo album Method Adaptor, which came out in November 2024.
Months later, he has more up his sleeve with the release of a single that he says embodies the “mindset of seeing the positives in life’s ebbs and flows.”
