Ely Buendia is bringing his latest album Method Adaptor to Visayas and Mindanao, marking the first time his sophomore release will be performed live outside Luzon. Backed by his band, The Methodists, Buendia will play shows in Cagayan de Oro and Cebu City, continuing the tour that began after the album’s launch alongside Offshore Music artists last November 2024 at 123Block, Mandaluyong. The series of intimate performances helped reintroduce Buendia’s songwriting to a new generation of fans, with tracks like “Kandarapa,” “Tagpi-tagping Piraso,” and “Bulaklak sa Buwan,” revealing a different side of his evolving artistry.

The VisMin leg of the tour comes through collaborations with local music communities. In Cagayan de Oro, the event is co-presented by KOMUNIDAD, an independent promoter that has helped nurture the region’s underground scene in the city. The show will feature guest performances from progressive rock band Cyber Band and experimental trio Sulo.
Meanwhile, the Cebu stop, organized in partnership with Unity Coffee & Vinyl, will include local acts Sansette, Mandaue Nights, Monopolice, and Awkward Dancer, reflecting how the island’s music culture continues to thrive beyond Manila’s orbit.
Buendia’s regional tour underscores his commitment to bringing his music closer to audiences across the country. With Method Adaptor, he proves his influence stretches far beyond other main projects, remaining as restless and forward-thinking as ever. Tickets for both shows are available through Ely Buendia’s official website.
