The beloved live music hub minsan studio is making its biggest move yet with the first-ever Minsan Festival, assembling an all-star lineup of OPM’s most essential acts. The festival bill reads like a who’s who of contemporary Filipino music — from iconic bands like The Itchyworms and Mayonnaise, to solo stars Ebe Dancel and Zild, to indie talents like TONEEJAY and SUD.

For three years, minsan studio, which is part documentation project and part community space, has served as the beating heart of Metro Manila’s live music scene. Their YouTube channel has become the gold standard for live mainstream OPM footage, capturing both established acts and under the radar favorites with great audio-visual quality. Beyond filming shows, their intimate venue has hosted countless “pay-what-you-can” and even free events, consistently platforming the next generation of Filipino artists.

Founder Jason Conanan envisions the festival as an extension of this mission: “We have always done our best to make things accessible for the most hardcore fans, and we believe the students are the heart of that.” This egalitarian philosophy extends to the festival’s unique approach to billing, treating all artists as equal draws to encourage audiences to discover every act. “There is no headliner because we believe every artist in our lineup has their own following,” he says.

True to their ethos, minsan is introducing the innovative “minsan pass,” an eco-friendly digital pass available as lanyard or bag tag. Priced at P349 for attendees under 24 and P699 for adults, this scannable pass grants entry to both the festival and future minsan events, embodying their commitment to sustainable, community-focused live music.

Minsan Festival will take place on Saturday, May 17 at Quezon City Memorial Circle. Passes available now via www.minsan.studio.
