As Cebu’s streets filled with parades, drumbeats, and spectacle, NUSTAR Online marked Sinulog away from the noise. This Sinulog season, that commitment moved beyond screens and platforms, taking form on the ground in Talisay City, Cebu, where the brand sought to stand alongside communities still finding their footing.
In collaboration with the Talisay City government, NUSTAR Online distributed grocery packs and sacks of rice to hundreds of families across several barangays. The initiative formed part of the city’s ongoing recovery efforts following Typhoon Tino, which caused significant damage in the area late last year.
In December, Talisay City announced its decision to forgo participation in the Sinulog Grand Parade, opting instead to redirect funds toward rehabilitation and relief. Within this context, NUSTAR Online identified the city as a meaningful partner, aligning its recently strengthened corporate social responsibility efforts with the spirit of the festival.
Cultural dancers from Talisay performed during the activity, offering a reminder that devotion to Señor Santo Niño can take forms beyond public spectacle. In place of grand processions, the celebration unfolded through giving, solidarity, and shared presence.
