If you thought you’d seen every possible Marvel crossover, then get ready for its most surprising one yet.
Toyo Eatery, the internationally acclaimed restaurant, which holds a spot on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list and earned the coveted Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award earlier this year, recently announced that its latest event will be a Marvel street party. Partnering with Inato and Taiwan’s renowned restaurant Mume for a night of street food cuisine, Toyo Eatery will also be welcoming a special guest at its fiesta: none other than Marvel Comics’ Editor in Chief, C.B. Cebulski.
“It was actually C.B.’s idea, since [he’ll] be doing [Super Manila Comic Con] the same weekend,” Toyo Eatery co-owner May Navarra told Rolling Stone Philippines. “He saw one of our Papi Jepe events the last time he came to eat and asked if we could do one for Marvel.”
For his part, Cebulski is a devoted food enthusiast. He maintains a food blog called Eataku, where he documents his thoughts on local restaurants and cuisines from the various places he visits for work. “I’ve been a fan of Jordy and May’s ever since I first ate at Toyo years ago,” Cebulski told Rolling Stone Philippines. “And as I know they’re into Marvel, I always secretly hoped to team up for some kind of comics and cuisine collab. So I was thrilled to learn they were open to hosting an event this year and brought Chefs JP and Richie.”
The Marvel Street Food Party takes place on September 6 from 7:00 p.m. onwards. Each ticket to the party includes up to eight special dishes and a limited edition poster. More information on the party can be found here.
