Miley Cyrus is set to release her latest album Something Beautiful, a 13-track collection that blends art-pop styled songwriting with an eclectic and cinematic pop rock edge to the album’s production. The album features songs such as “Easy Lover,” “Walk of Fame,” and previously released tracks “More to Lose” and “End of the World.”
This new chapter shows Cyrus stepping into a more self-aware and deliberate version of herself. Her impact in the Philippine music scene goes way back to her Disney Channel days as Hannah Montana. But ever since her 2011 appearance on Eat Bulaga, Cyrus has gone through several reinventions. With Something Beautiful, she moves past the need for reinvention entirely. The album presents a focused artist who is less concerned with image and more intent on control over the work itself.
The project includes a prelude and two interludes, framing songs that reflect on love, loss, and the weight of visibility. The material lingers in a clear headspace where the lyrics carry most of the momentum. Cyrus has described the record as a result of learning to center her own voice after a public life of highs and lows.
Alongside the release, a full-length visual companion to the album will premiere on June 6 at the Tribeca Film Festival. Directed by Cyrus, Naomi Campbell is also featured in the visual for the track “Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved.”
Something Beautiful will be available on all major platforms following the Tribeca debut.
