Filipino ambient and soul artist ((( O ))), formerly known by her artist name June Marieezy, has released “Sakral,” the second single off her upcoming record ((( 6 ))) (also known as the “sixth seed.”) The track follows “power,” which dropped earlier this August, and marks the latest step in her long-running commitment to releasing one full album every year under her current moniker.

That pace has set ((( O ))) apart since she launched the “seed” series in 2019. Each record has carried a distinct sonic identity while building on her evolving vision, balancing ambient textures with soul-rooted sensibilities. Though she briefly paused the streak in 2022, the catalog has grown more refined, leaning on sparse arrangements and a sharper focus on atmosphere.

With “Sakral,” she pulls her sound closer to ritual and pop. Angelic vocals anchor the track, while rolling, oscillating synths cut through the ambient wash, creating something more immediate than her earlier work. It is at once restrained and expansive, suggesting a willingness to stretch the language of her series while staying true to its foundation. The gradual album rollout shifts from her past practice of dropping complete albums, but underscores the same sense of discipline. For fans, it signals a continued dedication to the yearly harvest and an artist still charting her own meticulous course.

She announced the single on Instagram during her birthday, writing: “I’ve decided this year’s Sundrop harvest will be a slow and sakral release. Instead of one whole album all at once tomorrow, I’ll share pieces of it at a time.”
