On September 19, the 66th floor of the Grand Hyatt Manila transformed into a red carpet runway, as H&M celebrated its Autumn/Winter 2025 collections — A/W Chapters 1 and 2, Atelier, and Studio A/W 2025 — with a crowd of stars and style insiders across Southeast Asia, which included Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, K-pop group B1A4’s lead vocalist Jung Jin Young, Miss Universe Vietnam Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, and Singaporean actor Tyler Ten, among others.

The guests turned heads in pieces that were either directly from the collections or paid homage to the night’s theme, “British Nostalgia.” Festivities kicked off with a TikTok masterclass hosted by Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition winner Mika Salamanca and Singaporean style influencer Willabelle Ong. This was followed by a runway show of the latest H&M collections under red strobe lights and soundtracked by English bands like The Strokes and Dead or Alive.
Britpop Meets Minimalism

As the launch’s theme teased, all three of H&M’s collections drew inspiration from the style revolution of late ‘90s Britain, when the trends of Britpop, early grunge, and mod-inspired streetwear dictated a bold, new aesthetic.
Beyond incorporating British elements, the Studio A/W 2025 collection also explores the crisp, minimalist style of Stockholm and the sleek brutalism of Sào Paulo, situating the collection in the current style zeitgeist.
As an ode to workwear, Studio A/W 2025 combines utilitarian materials, such as denim and nylon with seasonal textures like wool and shearling. Of course, what is an homage to the ‘90s Britpop without plaid to add a layer of subversion in what is otherwise a grounded color palette of brown, rust, navy, and black?
A modern woman’s sensibilities are a top consideration in designing the collection, too. “Complexity wins over complication for AW25,” said Linda Wikell, concept designer at H&M Studio, in the official announcement. “There’s a femininity to the collection that’s both strict and tender — an expression of the multifaceted woman of today who’s constantly exploring new ground.”
H&M Atelier, looking to elevate classic menswear, showed key pieces ranging from sharply tailored dark coats to padded fur jackets to androgynous knee-high leather boots. “Atelier Autumn-Winter 2025 plays with workwear codes and classic menswear references, as well as infusing the season with something more opulent,” Ana Hernández, menswear designer at H&M Atelier, noted in the collection’s official announcement.
