On July 16, Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale announced its highly anticipated cast of all-star Asian drag queens. As the franchise’s spin on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, this special edition of Drag Race Philippines promises to spotlight and celebrate Asian drag like never before.
Building on the success of the Filipino edition of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Slaysian Royale brings together 12 Asian queens — each a returning alum from past Drag Race franchises — to battle for the crown and a spot in the Slaysian Hall of Fame. The season will be a celebration of culture and talent, where, as longtime Drag Race Philippines host Paolo Ballesteros puts it, “Filipino pride and Asian excellence collide.”
Representing the Philippines this season are five fierce queens: Drag Race Philippines Season 1 contestants Brigiding and Viñas Deluxe, Season 2 alums Bernie and Arizona Brandy (who was a runner-up on her season), and Season 3 standout Khianna. All five artists competed fiercely on their seasons of the show, bringing with them a mix of fan-favorite moments and unfinished business as they return to the stage for another shot at the crown.
Rounding out the lineup is a vibrant mix of talent from Drag Race franchises across the globe: Ivory Glaze from Drag Race Down Under Season 3, Kitty Space from Drag Race France Season 2, Siam Phusri from Drag Race Thailand Season 3, Suki Doll from Canada’s Drag Race Season 2, Sum Ting Wong from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 1, and Yuhua Hamasaki from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10.
