The 2026 Emmy Awards are almost upon us. When the nominees were announced in July, the internet was on fire with opinions about which TV stars did or didn’t deserve the nods, which shows were snubbed (ahem, Industry), and which shows could definitely sweep the awards show. Awarding for the 78th Emmys kicked off with its Creative Arts ceremonies on September 5 and 6, where, in a surprising turn of events, the Apple TV comedy horror Widow’s Bay swept eight awards after Hacks, Beef, and The Pitt earned the most nominations.
While the Primetime Creative Arts Emmys weren’t televised, the main Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony will be. Taking to the stage as its host is three-time Emmy winner Mariska Hargitay. 19 categories will be awarded, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Drama Series, and awards for acting, directing, and writing.
Filipino audiences can watch the 2026 Emmys live through the HITS Now channel via Cignal TV for cable, and streaming through Cignal Play’s Premium plan, which costs P149 a month.
According to the Television Academy, the preshow, which includes red carpet coverage, starts at 7:00 a.m., with the main ceremony scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday in Philippine time.
