Irish pop boyband Westlife has announced an exclusive opportunity for Southeast Asian fans to attend their 25th anniversary concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall this October. The group will select two winners from the region for an all-expenses-paid trip, including flights, hotel accommodations, concert tickets, and exclusive merchandise.
The Royal Albert Hall, a venue that has hosted legendary acts from The Beatles to Adele, will serve as the backdrop for Westlife’s milestone performance. Known for hits like “My Love,” “If I Let You Go,” and “Uptown Girl,” the group has maintained a strong connection with Filipino audiences since their debut in 1999.
“Asia has always held a special place in our hearts,” Westlife said in a press statement. “This is our way of saying thank you for the love you’ve shown us over the years.” The group’s relationship with the Philippines has had a historic run ever since their come up in the music scene, with sold-out shows during their 2019 20th anniversary tour and 2023 Wild Dreams tour at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Their music remains a staple in Filipino pop culture, frequently heard on radio stations and karaoke playlists nationwide. The contest highlights Westlife’s recognition of their Southeast Asian fanbase, offering a rare chance for devoted supporters to experience a career-defining performance at one of the world’s most prestigious venues.
Submissions are open until September 30 via Westlife’s website
