The first official teaser for Kip Oebanda’s Bar Boys: After School has just been released and it’s clear that the follow-up to the 2017 coming-of-age law school barkada flick is ramping up the drama.
The teaser, released by Cinema Bravo, introduces a new character, Arvin, played by Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’s Will Ashley. Arvin is venting to his law professor Torran (played by Bar Boys original Rocco Nacino) about the challenges of juggling work and law school. “To get to where I am, doble ‘yung pagod, doble ‘yung puyat, doble ‘yung self-doubt ko,” Arvin says in the teaser. The clip also cuts to a scene of Arvin trying to study, only for his employer, Ziggy (played by Emilio Daez, a fellow Pinoy Big Brother alum), to call him back to work.
Bar Boys: After School will follow the original four friends — Torran, Chris (Enzo Pineda), Erik (Carlo Aquino), and Josh (Kean Cipriano) — as they navigate the complexities of adulthood.
Besides Ashley and Daez, Klarisse de Guzman, Sassa Gurl, Royce Cabrera, Glaiza De Castro, and more will also be entering the world of Bar Boys.
Oebanda also made Bar Boys available for free on YouTube during the COVID-19 pandemic. The video currently has roughly 17.2 million views.
