It’s been nearly four years since BTS shared a single stage, but it looks like the septet’s making its grand return with a bang. The group is blessing its loyal ARMY with two gifts: a global livestream of its upcoming concert, “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG,” and a feature-length documentary, BTS: THE RETURN, both on Netflix.
The concert will stream live exclusively on Netflix on March 21, a day after the release of BTS’ latest studio album, ARIRANG. Members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will take the stage at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square starting at 8:00 p.m. Korean Time (so 7:00 p.m. Philippine Time). For all ARMY who need to see the boys in-person, however, Netflix will release more information about tickets to the comeback concert in the coming weeks. From there, BTS will begin its “ARIRANG World Tour,” which is scheduled to span 34 regions worldwide.
The documentary will be available to stream on March 27, and it will follow BTS’ journey working on ARIRANG and coming back together after their years-long hiatus. Directed by Bao Nguyen (The Stringer, The Greatest Night in Pop), BTS: THE RETURN will offer rare, behind-the-scenes access into the lives of the group’s members and how they are continuing to grow as global pop icons.
BTS made its grand debut in 2013, rising to the top of global charts with singles like “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Boy With Luv” (feat. Halsey). However, in 2022, the group entered its hiatus after its members began enlisting for mandatory military service.
