“Nation’s Girl Group” BINI showed up for the Los Angeles Clippers at Filipino Heritage Night in Inglewood, California, days ahead of their Coachella debut. They are the first P-pop group to guest in the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) celebration of Filipino culture and the Filipino-American community in basketball.
On Wednesday, April 1, Philippine time, the group posted photos of BINI members Jhoanna, Stacey, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Sheena, Mikha, and Aiah in custom blue jerseys. “Can’t wait for the game! Let’s gooooo LA Clippers,” the X post read.
During a halftime show in November 2024, the Clippers’s dance team also used BINI’s “Cherry On Top” for their routine.
BINI will also be the first P-pop group to grace the Coachella stage, also in California, on both weekends of the music festival, alongside Sabrina Carpenter, KATSEYE, and other international acts.
Other P-pop groups have also appeared at international basketball events, such as Alamat, who performed at the FIBA World Cup Opening Ceremony in August 2023, and HORI7ON, who performed at Bench Shoot of Asia in October 2025. SB19’s Ken, who also goes by the name Felip, performed at the NBA Rising Stars Invitational Philippine Qualifiers in May 2025. All three events were held in the Philippines.
