Chris Brown, the rapper known for physically assaulting Rihanna, has found itself in yet another controversy involving a female artist. After a critically panned album, Brown has had enough of the haters and suddenly dissed Swedish pop star Zara Larsson on his Instagram Stories. All of this stemmed from Pitchfork’s latest review, giving his album BROWN a 1.4 out of 10, and calling it a “piece of shit” and being “soulless.” Brown immediately responded to the review on his Instagram Stories.
“I know exactly who my fans are, and I know exactly who’s hearing this album,” says the rapper who has had a multitude of legal issues. “If you’re not my fan, I don’t want you to listen to my shit. Go listen to motherfucking Zara Larsson or somebody.” Why, out of all people, would Larsson be the one to catch strays?
Back in February 2026, Larsson went on a segment called “Cheap Shots” by Cosmopolitan and answered a question about one artist she would never find on her own playlist. Larsson responded, “There are so many artists I have blocked on Spotify, and all of them are abusers. You certainly wouldn’t find a Chris Brown song. Bye!”
