BingoPlus knows what it means to entertain beyond gaming.
On May 19, BingoPlus celebrated its fourth anniversary in a star-studded entertainment event called BingoPlus Night: Step Into the Next PLUS. The digital entertainment platform treated its community to an ensemble of powerhouse performances. Philippine entertainment’s brightest stars, like Vice Ganda, graced the stage with their inimitable energy. Nina soothed the lovesick with her hit ballads. And of course, ‘90s kids were taken on a trip down memory lane with anthems from the aughts by OPM legends Bamboo, Parokya ni Edgar, and Ely Buendia.
The anniversary event is a testament not only to BingoPlus’ prowess in entertainment but also a celebration of its biggest milestones in the past year.
BingoPlus saw the growth of its user base to a total of 2.9 million daily active users by the end of 2025. It also provided an overall payout of P2.25 trillion to over 3 million Filipino users. It also made its single biggest payout at P935,262,012 in June last year. But on top of all that, BingoPlus takes pride in how it sparked change.
Giving Back
In 2025 alone, DigiPlus Foundation, formerly known as BingoPlus Foundation, championed charitable work that amounted to P84.2 million. With a focus on causes like healthcare, education, and community resilience, its initiatives made significant strides and reached almost a million Filipinos.
For BingoPlus, social impact isn’t just a trend. It is committed to sustaining and even raising the bar for social impact. This is why BingoPlus made a billion-peso donation to DigiPlus Foundation over the next three years. It’s a significant increase compared to the previous years.
This promises an elevation and expansion of DigiPlus Foundation’s reach.
“It all started in 2022 when we revolutionized the market, self-regulated our business even before today’s standards were set in place, and became the industry drivers we are known to be today,” said Jasper Vicencio, President of AB Leisure Exponent Inc. “For the rest of the year, we promise to turn ‘Step into the Next PLUS’ into a long-term work mantra, not just for this night.”
Everybody Wins
“Sa bawat laro, may buhay na nababago.” This is what BingoPlus brand ambassador Kim Chiu said as she introduced the WishPlus segment at the anniversary night.
WishPlus started out as a seasonal campaign called “Sagot ng Bingo Ang Regalo Mo” before it became a full program dedicated to granting wishes from organizations and disadvantaged individuals. WishPlus inspires change that feels more personal. Anyone can make a wish for themselves or someone they know through the DigiPlus Foundation website.
Throughout its anniversary night, BingoPlus granted a total of six wishes. One came from a security guard who wanted an electronic bike to earn more and provide for his sick children. Another was made by a non-profit organization hoping to turn patient rooms into warm, more home-like spaces.
With all these avenues for help, BingoPlus and DigiPlus Foundation prove that leisure and purpose can go hand in hand. While players rake in prizes and the platform makes a profit, underserved individuals and marginalized communities get a chance to win, too.
Making a Difference
Infrastructure is one of the main contributing issues in the educational crisis. As of 2025, the Philippines grapples with an estimated shortage of 165,000 classrooms across the country. Region IV-A CALABARZON accounts for the biggest portion of this deficit at 31,010, which is nearly 20 percent of the total.
This number paints the picture for DigiPlus Foundation’s PLUSkwela Classroom Construction Project. In partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Department of Education, the program aims to support 181 students with the construction of a one-storey building with two classrooms.
Information on social development projects is normally made available through formal company reports and events, but BingoPlus now delivers updates with just a click on the app.
Launched at BingoPlus Night, the new Charity feature takes the gaming platform’s commitment to accountability and transparency a notch higher.
Through the Charity tab, users are invited to become active participants in their ongoing campaigns. Aside from the construction of learning spaces, the Charity feature provides information on two other initiatives: medical missions for 1,000 patients in Tuguegarao, and food donation drives for 1,000 jeepney and tricycle drivers in Manila.
The app makes it easier for users to track progress and learn more about the respective action plan for each initiative. On top of that, it allows them to invest their impact — one impact is earned from every P5,000 spent — on what matters to them the most. BingoPlus even gamifies user participation with a leaderboard showing the top 100 contributors.
The Charity feature serves a deeper purpose. More than just a source of information and a space for individual actions, it also allows users to assess what BingoPlus stands for and align with these values.
For Good
Combining gaming with philanthropy isn’t a new phenomenon. Consider small community-based bingo fundraisers. On one hand, it’s a simple form of entertainment where every participant has a chance to win a prize. But ultimately, it fosters a community towards a much bigger singular goal.
Gaming’s social impact is often eclipsed by its seemingly dangerous self-indulgent nature, but with the guardrails of responsible gaming, it can make for a meaningful experience and be a driving force for change.
“DigiPlus today stands as a model for regulated and responsible gaming entertainment in the Philippines — a trusted partner of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation and the public. We were the standard then, and we will continue to be the standard for years to come,” Vicencio says.
At its core, responsible gaming is and will always be the name of the game.
