It’s always a sight to see when Star Wars devotees come together to celebrate the latest film in the long-running franchise. Things were no different at the recent Philippine premiere of The Mandalorian and Grogu, where fans gathered to be among the first in the country to see the newest LucasFilm outing on the big screen.
A parade of fans dressed as Stormtroopers, Jedi Knights, and Rebel Fighters marched from SM North EDSA’s Atrium all the way up to the mall’s IMAX cinema to catch the first Philippine screening of The Mandalorian and Grogu. The Atrium activation, with its interactive Star Wars-themed elements, offered the perfect place for the fandom to share moments and snap new memories. It’s been seven years since we last sat in the dark and heard John Williams’ iconic fanfare, and this time, it’s Ludwig Göransson’s The Mandalorian theme that welcomed us. Fans across generations took the time to pose for pictures, interact with a life-sized AT-AT Walker, and swap stories about custom costumes with other viewers.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is currently screening in cinemas nationwide, complete with a variety of formats. With SM Cinema in particular, the film can be enjoyed either with the immersive scale of IMAX, the 270-degree panoramic action of SCREENX, the premium comfort of the Directors Club, or the convenience of a regular theater.

There’s a limited edition of The Mandalorian and Grogu tumbler available until June 18 at select SM Cinema locations.
