It’s confirmed: Brillante Mendoza’s latest film, Until She Remembers is, in fact, a sapphic romance. According to the synopsis released with its most recent trailer, the film follows Angel (Barbie Forteza) as she moves in with her ailing grandmother Concha (Charo Santos-Concio), who “once shared a deep, unresolved love with another woman, Catherine” (Boots Anson Roa).

With Chilean poet Pablo Neruda’s “Tonight I can write the saddest lines” being read by the three women, and Catherine suffering from Alzheimer’s disease as Concha suffers from cancer, the trailer teases at what Solar Studios describes as “a quiet, devastating, and ultimately healing journey toward a final meeting — where memory fades, but love endures.”

Until She Remembers premieres in cinemas nationwide on February 25.
