Mad libs, British royalty edition: Meghan Markle’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, is reportedly now living in Cebu in a high-rise apartment, renting €500 a month (roughly P31,000).
Thomas and Meghan have been locked in a public feud since 2017, when the former Suits actress first announced her engagement to Prince Harry. Thomas has been vocal to the press about his relationship with his daughter, appearing for interviews with outlets such as The Sun, Good Morning Britain, and TMZ. Recently, Thomas publicly criticized Meghan’s latest Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. “Unfortunately, Meghan has never been authentic,” Thomas told The Daily Mail. “She has to think about everything. She’s not spontaneous.”
Although Thomas has spent the last decade living in Mexico, British tabloid newspaper The Mirror reported that he has now settled in Cebu with his son, Tom Jr. “[The weather’s] brutal even for men half his age, but it’s still sad to see him looking as though he’s struggling,” an anonymous source told The Mirror. “They’re still finding their feet in Cebu after the big move abroad, but they’re here together and are firmly supporting each other.”
