There are multiple sides to Carlos Yulo. The gymnast rose to global stardom during the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he took home not one, but two gold medals for his efforts on the mat: first for the men’s floor exercise final and then on the vault final. The wins have cemented Yulo as one of the most acclaimed athletes in the Philippines, but, as he told Rolling Stone Philippines, he’s adamant about keeping his personal life separate from his professional one.
“Magkaiba si Carlos sa gymnastics, magkaiba si Carlos sa outside gymnastics,” Yulo said in the latest episode of Rolling Stone Philippines Interview.
Yulo also spoke about how he’s learned to prioritize peace and rest when he’s not training. “Si Carlo sa outside is… sweet and caring talaga,” the gymnast added. “At the same time, kailangan ko rin magpahinga.
