BTS have shared the tracklist for their upcoming album ARIRANG, with an eclectic lineup of producers appearing in the production credits revealed on March 4. The 14-track album arrives with a surprising roster of producers and writers, ranging from beatsmiths associated with experimental hip-hop to figures tied to more off-kilter electronic music.
Contributors include Mike WiLL Made-It, Flume, El Guincho, JPEGMAFIA, Diplo, Tame Impala, and even OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder. The lineup brings together artists who often work at the edges of hip-hop and electronic music. The group spent time in Los Angeles last year developing the album, collaborating closely with several of the producers and songwriters involved. One of the record’s producers, Diplo, confirmed his participation to TMZ last February 8, saying that the album would “shock the world.”
BTS announced their comeback alongside plans for a new album and a global run of tour dates.
ARIRANG is set for release on March 20 and will mark the group’s first studio album since 2020’s Be. The day after the album’s release, the group will play their first concert in over three years at the Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21. It will be followed by the documentary BTS: The Return on Netflix, premiering on March 27.
