The chosen honorees are said to be “role models whose endearing legacies advance culture, commerce and community for generations to come,” CEO of the Asian Hall of Fame Maki Hsieh said in a statement. The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on November 5.
The Asian Hall of Fame was established in 2004 and was founded by the Robert Chinn Foundation. The ceremony is said to highlight “Asian achievement and indigenous legacy.” ROSÉ started in 2016 as a member of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, whose hits include “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “JUMP.” She has also ventured into a successful solo career with hits like “APT” released in 2026. Meanwhile, the American with Filipino and Mexican lineage Sanchez is known for winning the twentieth season of America’s Got Talent in 2025 and finishing as the runner-up on the 11th season of American Idol in 2012.
Previous Filipino honorees of the Asian Hall of Fame include businesswoman Loida Nicolas Lewis, retired Navy Rear Admiral Dr. Connie Mariano, Olympic speed-skating medalist J.R. Celski, and Emmy-winning TV producer Marc Anthony Nicolas.
