On December 13, New York-based DJ livwutang will bring her raw energy to the Philippines for the first time.
Hosted by the Manila-based electronic music collective transit records, livwutang is performing a set at Siren Studios in Manila.
The DJ, known offstage as Liv Klutse, has spent the last few years rapidly releasing mixes and cementing her place in New York’s underground rave scene. Her dedication to danceability, elegance, and boldness has granted her entrance into some of New York’s most iconic electronic music festivals, such as Dweller, Honcho Campout, and Sustain-Release.
This year, livwutang has taken her sets to clubs and festivals across the globe, bringing her distinct sound to crows in countries like India, Thailand, and now, the Philippines.
Joining livwutang behind the booth will be a lineup of top local talent, bringing their own unique spin to the night’s electrifying vibe. transit records has invited legendary dub producer Red-I to drop a live set of his exclusive dubplates. Aeterna’s Reena and Kindred’s aaa_Paro will also be performing a b2b ambient set during the night. Finally, event attendees can expect exciting sets by baby ikea, Duality, Trust, and YUMU.
The venue will have two rooms with high-precision sound systems. Room One, where the main dancefloor is located, will showcase British loudspeaker manufacturer Funktion-One’s Res5 loudspeakers and F218 subwoofer. Room Two, or the chillout floor, will feature Fatima Sound Practice’s Jacinta sound system. The event is made possible by support from Fred Perry.
