Food is at the heart of Filipino culture, and some of the most prominent names in the country’s restaurant scene are gearing up to discuss local cuisine at Rolling Stone Philippines LIVE!
On March 21, at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Chef Bruce Ricketts, restauranteur Jae De Veyra Pickrell, Chef Miko Calo, and Chef Josh Boutwood will sit down for a conversation on the current state of the Philippines’ food and beverage industry. Titled “Understanding the Filipino Palate: A Conversation with Top Names in the F&B Industry,” the panel will be hosted by FEATR Media’s Erwan Heussaff. The group will cover a range of important culinary subjects, such as key trends in today’s restaurant market, the challenges of Manila restauranteurs, and the impact of the Michelin Guide arriving in the Philippines.
Joining them at Rolling Stone Philippines LIVE! are acclaimed actor John Lloyd Cruz and National Artist Ricky Lee, who are set for a rare conversation on the state of Philippine Cinema. The Fab Four of ‘90s Pinoy rock, Eraserheads, will also be present to ring in the magazine’s maiden issue with a live performance. The band’s lead vocalist, Ely Buendia, will also join in on a panel discussion with filmmaker Diane Ventura, Warner Bros. distribution head Rico Gonzales, and film producer Francis Lumen to talk about the documentary film Eraserheads: Combo on the Run. The event will also feature a special message from award-winning journalist and Rappler co-founder Maria Ressa.
