Canadian sophisti-pop trio Men I Trust will return to the Philippines for their first solo show in Manila on February 1, 2026, at The Filinvest Tent in Alabang.
The band — featuring Emma Proulx on vocals, Jessy Caron on guitar, and Dragos Chiriac on keyboards — first performed in the Philippines in 2023 during Wanderland Festival; their set, highlighted by their breakout hit “Show Me How,” placed them alongside French band Phoenix and Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen on the bill. For many in the crowd, it was a rare chance to see the Montreal group’s hypnotic blend of soft rock, lounge textures, and understated brand of pop music live.
Since then, Men I Trust have steadily expanded their influence in indie pop. Their 2019 breakout record Oncle Jazz introduced audiences to their breezy, slow-burning sound, while this year’s double release, Equus Asinus and Equus Caballus, revealed a band unwilling to sit still. Songs like “Come Back Down” nod to city pop’s retro gloss, while “Husk” leans into post-punk groove and grit.
Across both albums, the group pushed their music beyond the bedroom pop tag that once followed them, staking their claim as one of indie music’s most inventive acts today. Their Manila solo debut signals not only their global reach, but also the appetite of Filipino audiences for music outside of pop’s usual boundaries.
Men I Trust tickets go on sale September 25 via Tickelo.
