On June 18, creative forces across TV, film, and media gathered for the second Rolling Stone Philippines Social Club, a celebration of music, gastronomy, and meaningful conversations. The event was held in Gallery by Chele, presented by IQOS, and was graced by none other than Rolling Stone Philippines’ The Guilty Pleasure of Showbiz Gossip Issue cover star, Daniel Padilla.

Rolling Stone Philippines Chief of Editorial Content Jonty Cruz likewise said that the magazine is about shaking the status quo, making Padilla the perfect fit for the May issue. “We gravitate towards artists and iconoclasts who go through life on their own terms,” he said. “And Daniel is one such artist who continues to do so.”

At the Table

Guests were treated to Gallery by Chele’s five-course menu fusing Spanish and Filipino gastronomic sensibilities. The evening started with the colorful tropical ceviche with oyster, banana, and cacao, with a cooling and tropical taste, followed by a smooth and pleasant Palawan lobster with uni, potato, and calamansi.

After that was balanced and roasted fried pulpo in chicken jus and papaya, followed by the main course: a rich and warm A5 grade wagyu in beef emulsion, with onion and black garlic. For dessert, the guests had a balanced and cooling sago with latik and mango.

To wrap up the night, guests treated themselves to drinks and heated tobacco. As they shuttled between dining tables and the bar, DJ Euric wove house and new wave at the turntables, setting the mood for lively, impassioned conversations.
