Arguably the greatest installment of Star Wars ever is returning to the big screen in a whole new way. From Film Concerts PH comes Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in Concert, a two-night symphonic concert experience held at The Theatre at Solaire on August 30 and 31.

The Empire Strikes Back brought with it an iconic soundtrack, from Yoda’s dramatic theme to the tender melody of Han Solo and Princess Leia’s romance. Now, fans can experience the magic of John Williams’ Grammy-winning score performed live by the Filharmonika Orchestra and conductor Gerard Salonga.

For nearly 50 years, the Star Wars franchise has made a seismic impact on cinema and pop culture, becoming a fiercely beloved saga to fans worldwide. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back signaled an important pivot in the original trilogy, with the Rebel Alliance quickly preparing to go against Darth Vader’s Imperial Forces in the biggest fight of the galaxy. Against this backdrop of war and rebellion, Luke Skywalker learns the ways of the Jedi under the mentorship of legendary Jedi Master Yoda.

Film Concerts PH first brought Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert to Philippine audiences in 2024, and now the orchestra hopes to continue the saga with Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Pre-sale ticket access begins on May 16 at 10:00 a.m. for members of the Film PH community, while ticket sales for the public begin on June 10 at 12:00 p.m. More information on ticket pricing is available on the Ticketworld website.
