It’s time to leave the vault once again. Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is arriving this November, marking ten years since Bethesda Game Studios first brought players into the post-apocalyptic wasteland of The Commonwealth. The new edition will be available digitally on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC starting November 10.

When Fallout 4 launched in 2015, it cemented the series’ reputation for immersive worldbuilding, fusing retro-futuristic Americana and steampunk-inspired aesthetics with an open world of choices, settlements, and survival. Its mix of character-driven storytelling, detailed environments, and an expansive crafting system made it one of the most defining role-playing games (RPG) of the decade.

The Anniversary Edition gives the game the same “Skyrim treatment,” bundling the base game with six official expansions — Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, and the Workshop packs — along with more than 150 pieces of Creation Club content. Players can expect new weapons, questlines, and customizable options, including new Dogmeat breeds like huskies and dalmatians. The update also includes a refreshed in-game Creations menu, making it easier to browse and install community-made mods directly from the game.

A decade later, Fallout 4 remains a cornerstone of modern gaming culture. Its legacy extends beyond RPG fans, shaping how video games build worlds and communities that endure long after release — proof that the wasteland never really stays buried.
