Indonesian rapper Rich Brian will finally perform in a solo show in Manila on December 8 at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City. The stop is part of his WHERE IS MY HEAD? tour, which will kick off in Jakarta before hitting Taipei, Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, and Honolulu through November and December.

The run follows the release of Brian’s latest album WHERE IS MY HEAD?, his first full-length since 2019’s The Sailor. Released August 15, the record dives into a layered concept where two versions of the rapper co-exist: Maestro, a conductor weaving the music of dreams, and Movie Brian, who unknowingly inhabits that imagined world. The duality taps into a long hip-hop tradition of alter egos, recalling MF Doom’s many characters, such as Viktor Vaugn and Zev Love X or Tyler, the Creator’s therapist character Mr. T in the Goblin trilogy.

Written and largely self-produced, WHERE IS MY HEAD? cements Brian’s growth as an artist aiming for sharper control and deeper vulnerability. Across 15 tracks, guest spots in the album include West Coast R&B Filipino-American producer Toro y Moi, rapper DAISY WORLD, Ski Mask the Slump God, redveil, and many more. The album balances Brian’s introspective lens with fresh collaborative energy.

Brian first came to Manila in 2017 as part of 88Rising’s showcase at House Manila alongside Higher Brothers and Joji. In 2022, the rapper performed live in Manila for the second time at the Head in the Clouds Festival at the SM Festival Grounds in Parañaque. This year, though, the spotlight rests fully on him, reflecting the steady climb from viral notoriety of releasing his debut single “Dat Stick” to one of Asia’s most visible hip-hop voices.
