If you’ve ever taken a selfie at a mirror bar at a party or a wedding, chances are you’ve come across the mobile bar Nyctophile Mixology and Bar Hosting.
While other mobile bars might not draw so much attention at an event, Nyctophile’s gold mirror bar is easy to catch, even at the back of any venue. “The mirror bar reflects the guest, just as every cocktail reflects a personality,” said Joebeth Espinosa, the woman behind Nyctophile.
It’s an apt name for a mobile bar, and Espinosa was inspired by the idea that life’s most meaningful moments happen in the evening, when the parties get started, or when people unwind.
After exploring bars around the world and discovering all the different ways drinks are crafted, Espinosa launched Nyctophile in May 2024, working closely with a dedicated bartender and mixologist to cater drinks at weddings, birthdays, private gatherings, corporate events, and even the Filipino Music Awards in October 2025. “I’m not the one behind the shaker, but I fell in love with the creativity behind every glass,” she said of working with experts.
“I was never really into cocktails before,” Espinosa said. “I usually preferred a spirit-forward drink, whisky neat, simple and strong.” But with her travels both local and abroad, she found an appreciation for cocktails and how they were crafted, presented, and thoughtfully curated.
Espinosa’s drink preferences led her and Nyctophile to develop a distinctly bold, “spirit-forward” menu. But the mobile bar still has something for everyone, as Espinosa believes that with every drink, guests can choose flavors that reflect their personality.
