While there, we were treated to dishes such as Roots’ cassava crisps (paired with a spicy ube and onion emulsion), Filipino wagyu encased in a squid ink ravioli shell, and a red snapper ceviche topped with pepinos and cured egg yolk.
Cloud 9
For surfers and sun bathers, no trip to Siargao would be complete without an hour or two at Cloud 9. The surfing spot boasts a steady flow of high waves, perfect both for surfing beginners and professionals alike. The pier and surf tower nearby also makes for an ideal spot for photos and for jumping-off points into the water.
Barbosa
Since it opened in 2023, Barbosa has become the vinyl bar for music lovers looking for a listening space on the island. Complete with an eclectic menu of snacks and drinks, Barbosa features regular DJ sets that draw everyone on the island to the bar’s dance floor.
Kanaloa Beach Club
If you’re looking for a more laidback spot that’s still close to nature, then Kanaloa is for you. Although Siargao has a number of night clubs you can choose from, the Siargao Beach Club features ample space for a night of dancing and partying, plus direct access to the nearby beach. There’s always a gig or DJ set going at the beach club, every day of the week.
