On July 18, IQOS transformed Revel at the Palace into a glowing turquoise lounge for the second leg of its event series, CuriousX, a night of music, energy, and surprises — which comes after the success of its first leg at Gallio Events Hall back in June. The flickering lights and thumping bass piqued the curiosity of guests who buzzed with anticipation as local DJs warmed up the floor with edits of pop anthems.
Partygoers, who included some of the most sought-after models, were also treated to a special drink that IQOS concocted with Revel’s mixologists to rev up everyone in anticipation of the night’s main act: Jack Glass, one half of the Australian electronic music duo Bag Raiders.
Kicking off his set with SG Lewis and Tove Lo’s “HEAT,” Glass built an electric, pulsating atmosphere that kept bodies moving. But as soon as Glass dropped the first beat of Bag Raiders’ viral classic “Shooting Stars,” with its signature maraca sample, clubgoers immediately turned their attention and rode the wave of nostalgia.
Glass and Chris Stracey famously only allowed Troye Sivan to sample “Shooting Stars” in his 2023 hit “Got Me Started.” In an interview with Zane Lowe, the Australian artist said, “They [Bag Raiders] were like, ‘By the way, we’ve had hundreds of requests and we’ve never said ‘yeah,’ so don’t fuck this up.’ And I was like, ‘I promise you, I’m going to make a video. It’s going to be sick.’”
One of the most anticipated moments of the night came when IQOS announced three lucky guests would be flown to Milan for the brand’s global event in October this year. Four winners were previously picked out at the Forever Curious party at Gallio.
With its CuriousX series, IQOS continues to push itself as a lifestyle brand connecting global culture and music, a reminder of what is possible when you follow your curiosity.
