Ariana Grande is set to join the Focker family in Focker-in-Law, the latest installment of the family comedy franchise Meet the Parents. The film revolves around Olivia Jones, played by Grande, a former FBI hostage negotiator who is dating Greg Focker’s son, Henry Focker, played by Skyler Gisondo. However, Greg, played by Ben Stiller, isn’t really convinced of the wife-to-be just yet, given her suspicious background in manipulation. It’s officially Stiller versus Grande in a kind of psychological warfare within the family.
The film is officially the fourth installment in the franchise. The first film, Meet the Parents came out in 2000. The film tells the story of Greg as he faces a series of disastrous and comedic misunderstandings while meeting his girlfriend’s overprotective, ex-CIA agent father Jack Byrnes played by Robert De Niro. The sequels Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers, released in 2004 and 2010 respectively. Both have found major success at the box office.
Focker-in-Law arrives in cinemas on November 26.
