Music photographer Niña Sandejas has launched her own independent publishing imprint, alt164 Press, dedicated to the visual archive of Filipino music, alongside its first release: GREYHOUNDZ. The photo book spans 408 pages, documenting two decades of images Sandejas captured of the nu-metal icons.

The book features live concert shots from festivals, mosh pits, and circle pits, as well as unguarded in-between moments of the band outside of performances.

Sandejas began capturing more of the band during their Execution Style-era in 2008. “My first gig was during the 2010 Rock Awards,” Sandejas tells Rolling Stone Philippines. “Then shortly after, in 2011, Red Horse Beer hired me to document Muziklaban, and my first shoot was with Greyhoundz.”

Sandejas met the band’s bassist Niño Avenido and has maintained access to them ever since. “It’s not meant to be a chronological book since I wasn’t there in 1997, but I told the story as they have told it to me,” she says. “[I] arranged the photos to recreate their story by showing their journey from small bars to big stages based on my experience with them.” She later married Avenido.

The book is now available for pre-orders via alt164.press.
