Rock band IV of Spades will take the stage this weekend for their first headlining back-to-back concert on December 12 and 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The band sold out their initial December 12 date within hours, prompting the addition of a second night on December 13. Only a small number of tickets remain for the added show.
Featuring core members rhythm guitarist Unique Salonga, lead guitarist Blaster Silonga, drummer Badjao De Castro, and bassist Zild Benitez, the’s band’s back-to-back concerts follow the release of their sophomore album Andalucia on November 6. The record arrived with heavy anticipation, marking the group’s return as a complete four-piece ever since their hiatus back in 2020. Tracks like “Aura,” “Monster,” “Karma,” and “Rewind” stand out among the new material and reflect the sessions that shaped the band’s renewed chemistry.
During the album’s media conference, Benitez told Rolling Stone Philippines that the time apart helped reset the group’s sense of identity. “’Yong time apart, nakatulong siya na makita ko ’yong IV of Spades beyond the drama,” he said. “Nabalik ako kung ano ang tingin ko sa IV of Spades noong 2014, noong nag-start kami. Just four guys doing what they’re doing.”
IV of Spades first broke through with a run of singles between 2016 and 2018, including “Ilaw sa Daan,” “Hey Barbara,” and “Mundo.” Salonga left the band briefly in 2018, leaving the remaining members to continue as a trio. They released their debut album CLAP!CLAP!CLAP! in 2019 and went on hiatus in 2020. Their comeback as a reunited four-piece began in July 2025 with the single release of the “Aura.”
Tickets for Day 1 are sold out, but Day 2 tickets are still available via SM Tickets.
