Pop rock band IV of Spades officially marks another milestone in the band’s comeback, releasing their second single in five years, “Nanaman.” The track follows “Aura,” which debuted last July alongside the announcement that the band had reunited as a four-piece. The music video for “Nanaman” features lead guitarist Blaster Silonga stepping into the role of vocalist, joined by rhythm guitarist Unique Salonga, drummer Badjao de Castro, and bassist Zild Benitez.
This is not the first time Silonga has handled vocal duties for the band. In 2023, “Come Inside of My Heart” — a track from their 2019 debut album CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! — experienced a resurgence on social media, drawing millions of new streams and cementing its status as one of the band’s most recognizable songs.
The “Nanaman” music video pays tribute to The Beatles’ 1964 “I Feel Fine” performance video, in which Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and George Harrison play their instruments while drummer Ringo Starr pedals a stationary bike. In a playful nod to long-running fan jokes, De Castro’s “lost” bicycle also makes a cameo in the clip.
Since reuniting, IV of Spades have re-established their presence in the live scene. The band recently appeared on ASAP Natin ‘To, delivering the first televised performance of “Aura.”
